White Plains, NY - Grandparents of children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can now find support through a new program offered by the WJCS Autism Family Center.
Beginning July 23, a Grandparent Support Group will meet monthly at 7:00 PM at the Center at 845 North Broadway in White Plains.
Facilitated by Program Director Patricia Grossman, LCSW, group participants will share the special struggles of having a grandchild with an autistic spectrum disorder. With the aim of decreasing isolation and increasing knowledge of autistic spectrum disorders, program participants will have an opportunity to share triumphs and challenges, develop a mutual support network and identify strategies for improved family life.
This program is free and open to all who live or work in Westchester.
For more information or to register, contact Ms. Grossman at 949-7699 ext 355 or
