Q&A on fall marketing promotions
Let's talk about fall promotions! See my latest blog entry on this site for starters and then ask me your questions. Here's some additional thoughts....
1) Have you ever done a cross-promotion with another company? If not, why not? To get started identify a company that complements your business, e.g., they sell something you don't but to the same target audience. You would both have a vested interest in reaching each other's customers and cross selling. So why not plan an open house, networking cocktail party, or breakfast workshop? It doesn't have to be expensive, just make it fun and people will want to attend and will tell others for the next one.
2) Consider running a holiday contest. What can you offer as a prize or giveaway from now through December that people would be interested in? Can you run a free raffle? Have entry forms in your store or office or on line. Drive traffic by sending out an email blast. If you offer a raffle prize from another company have them do promotion for it as well.
