NY Rangers Share Hockey Tips With Boys and Girls Club
Mt. Kisco, NY – The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester recently benefitted from the pro-sport expertise of the New York Rangers.
Representatives from the Rangers visited the Club as part of its Youth Hockey program designed to encourage teamwork, inspire commitment and promote a healthy lifestyle.
The Club is one of more than 50 centers, including New York City Parks & Recreation centers and YMCA’s, who are part of the newly expanded “New York Rangers Youth Street Hockey Program presented by Live Positively, Coca-Cola.” In its third season, the free program provides indoor youth hockey instruction for more than 2,500 youth.
The clinic focused on introducing members to the sport of hockey and teaching them the importance of exercising. Instruction focused on individual skills, team participation, and fundamentals of the game such as passing, shooting and stick handling.
