Local Young Bands Battle At Playland
White Plains, NY - Six of the best young bands from the metro area prepare for battle as Playland Park in Rye hosts its ninth annual “Battle of the Bands,” Friday, July 20, 2012 at 6 p.m., at the park’s famous Music Tower Theater. Rain date is Friday, July 27, 2012.
This year’s contenders are:
- Bloodline (Scarsdale, NY)
- Jumpstart Tomorrow (North Babylon, NY)
- Rockin’ One Way (Mahopac, NY)
- Room 237 (Rye, NY)
- Rye & St. Patrick’s (Rye, NY)
- Working Disorder (New City NY)
As an added bonus, visitors can watch Playland’s fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.
The “Battle of the Bands” is sponsored by Westchester County Parks, Friends of Westchester County Parks, and radio station 107.1 The Peak.
Parking is $5 on Friday. Regular admission fees apply.
